About our Gilroy flooring contractor business

How a desk job turned into concrete floors
I spent years at a desk before I figured out I'd rather be on my knees on a slab than in front of a screen. I learned concrete floors working for an installer here in the valley, and in 2013 I started this business in Gilroy. Homeowners call us about garages, basements and pool decks, and shop and warehouse owners call about floors that have to take a beating.
What I care about most is that you understand your floor before you spend money on it. Most coating trouble starts underneath, with moisture, an old finish or rushed prep, and Gilroy's expansive soil, clay that swells when it's wet and shrinks when it dries, leaves plenty of slabs here cracked or uneven. I'd rather spend an hour explaining that than hand you a pretty floor that lifts, and if your slab isn't ready yet, I'll tell you. You can see the floors we do from our home page.
What you can expect when we do your floor
Most of what you'll notice about working with us happens before any coating goes down. Here's what you can expect, from the first walk-through to the last cleanup.
We check the slab before anyone picks a color
We look for moisture, old sealers and cracks first, because what's under a finish is where floors fail. Most of our effort goes into grinding and repairing the concrete so the coating has clean, sound concrete to grab onto.
Your options side by side
I lay out the choices that fit your slab, like epoxy, polyaspartic or polished concrete, with what each one is good at and what it isn't. The call is yours, and you make it knowing what you're paying for.
The same people from estimate to install
I come out to walk the floor with you, and our own crew does the work with me or our lead installer on site, so nothing gets lost between the estimate and the job. We keep dust down and clean up as we go, so your house or shop can keep running around us.
Licenses, insurance and permits for your job
Licensed and insured
We're licensed and insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If a job needs a permit, we pull it and set up the inspections, and when we're not sure, we check with the city or county building office before work starts.
Gilroy city business license
The City of Gilroy requires a city business license from every business doing work in the city, including contractors based somewhere else. When you're comparing contractors for a job in Gilroy, that's a fair thing to ask about.
