Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Gilroy Epoxy Floors & Concrete Coatings website and any work you hire us to do. By using this site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them, so if you don't agree, please don't use the site.
When we say "we," "us" or "our," we mean Gilroy Epoxy Floors & Concrete Coatings, and "you" means the person using the site or hiring us. If your signed estimate or contract says something different from these terms, the signed document controls for that job.
What we do
We're a flooring contractor in Gilroy, CA. Our crew installs, repairs and prepares concrete floors, including epoxy and polyaspartic coatings, polished and stained concrete, overlays, sealing and grinding. You'll find the full list of services on our home page and more about who we are on our About page.
The descriptions, photos and examples on this site are general. Every slab is different, so what we'll actually do at your property is what's written in your estimate or contract.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, done at your property, and come with no obligation. We look at the concrete before we price it because its condition, moisture, cracks, any old coating and the size of the area all change how much work the job takes.
An estimate is our price for the work it describes, based on what we can see that day. If we find something once the job is open, such as hidden damage, moisture in the slab or an old coating that won't come off the way we expected, we'll stop, explain it and agree any change with you in writing before we do extra work.
Material and labor costs change, so if a lot of time passes between your estimate and your booking, we may need to update the price before we start.
Scheduling, delays and cancellation
We'll agree a start date with you and work to keep it. Temperature and humidity affect how coatings cure, so we sometimes have to move a date, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.
Please have the area cleared and give us the access, power and water we agreed on. If we arrive and can't start because the space isn't ready, we may have to reschedule.
If you need to cancel or move your job, call us at (669) 205-6336 as early as you can. Any cancellation fee or non-refundable deposit, for example for materials ordered for your floor, will be written in your estimate or contract, and if it isn't written there, we won't charge it. Nothing here takes away any right to cancel that California law gives you.
Payment
Your estimate or contract sets out how much is due and when, including any deposit or progress payments. We'll ask for the balance once the work is done and you've walked the finished floor with us.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid, and we may recover reasonable costs of collecting it where the law allows.
Your part in how the floor turns out
Please tell us about anything you know of before we start, such as past leaks, water coming up through the floor, earlier coatings or sealers, or chemicals spilled on the slab. These things affect how a coating bonds, and we can only plan for what we can see or what you tell us.
Keep foot traffic, vehicles and furniture off the floor until we tell you it's ready, and clean it the way we recommend, because using a floor before it has cured is one of the most common reasons a new coating fails.
Our guarantee and what we can't promise
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee, so if something isn't right, tell us and we'll come back and look at it. The terms of any written warranty for your floor are the ones in your contract.
Beyond what's written in your contract, we don't promise any particular result. Coatings and concrete can be affected by things we don't control, such as moisture rising through the slab, ground movement, new cracks, hot tires, harsh chemicals, heavy impacts and how the floor is cared for.
Concrete is a natural material, so color, texture and pattern will vary from slab to slab, and a sample or photo is a guide rather than an exact match.
This website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate and up to date, but we don't guarantee it's free of errors or always available.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our own work as set out in your contract. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a space, lost business or lost income, and our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't responsible for problems caused by conditions that were there before we started and weren't visible or disclosed to us, by work done by others, or by the floor being used before it cured. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that California law says can't be limited.
If we disagree about something
If you have a concern about our work or a bill, call us first at (669) 205-6336 or reach us through our Contact page. Most problems are settled with a visit and a straight conversation, and we'd rather fix it than argue about it.
If we can't settle it together, either of us may take the matter to a court with authority over it in Santa Clara County, California, including small claims court when the amount qualifies.
Which law applies
These terms, your use of this site and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page when you use the site or sign your estimate is the one that applies. Changes won't affect a job you've already signed for unless we both agree in writing.
Questions about these terms
